Enugu Best Farmers dare Golden Eaglets

First Best Farmers (FBF) soccer academy under the aegis of Dr. Mrs. Ify Nwobosi would have a foretaste of the firepower of the National Under-17 team today; in a friendly match slated to hold 4pm at the practice pitch of the U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar. Former coach of the Golden Eaglets, Fanny Amun has described the current Golden Eaglets squad as a strong force, capable of winning the U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Amun said in Lagos that the squad was impeccable and in a good shape to do the country proud at the tournament. The Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke, CON, on Thursday expressed absolute confidence in the ability of the U-17 National Team, Golden Eaglets, to conquer the world at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup finals taking place in the United Arab Emirates later in the year. Speaking at the Government House, Calabar while receiving a delegation of the Nigeria Football Federation led by 1st Vice President, Chief Mike Umeh, Governor Imoke equated the silver medal won by the Golden Eaglets at the African U-17 Championship in Morocco to gold, and assured that his administration would give the team all necessary support to go to the United Arab Emirates to lift the World Cup.
