Imagine Cup: OAU, Lautech students fly Nigeria’s flag
By Emeka Aginam, in at St Petersburg Team Nigeria and 9 other teams from the African continent are currently showcasing their best technologies in the continent at the ongoing 2013 Microsoft Imagine Cup, the world’s premier student technology competition where students use their imagination and passion to create a technology solution that can solve the world’s toughest problems. At the global contest that kicked off Monday four best software incubators from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ilefe, (OAU) and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (Lautech) Ogbomoso, Oyo respectively are flying Nigerian flag at the ongoing event which attracted no fewer than 309 students from 71 countries who have gathered in St. Petersburg, Russia to compete in three main categories like World Citizenship, Games and Innovation.
