Baga massacre: Read the NHRC report
Claims and counter claims have characterized the April violence in Baga, a border town in the restive Borno state. Following the outcry over extra judicial killings by the JTF, the Army and FG have maintained that the number of killings have been exaggerated , apart from the fact that terrorists were killed in battle. Subsequently, enquiries were instituted into the matter dubbed 'Baga Massacre' by the Senate, the FG and other human rights bodies.
