Court remands NURTW worker over alleged murder
BY ONOZURE DANIA LAGOS— An Ikeja Magistrate's Court, yesterday, ordered that a 25-year-old worker with the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Monday Ikudenyibo, be remanded in prison custody, pending the legal advice of the Director of Public Prosecution, over alleged murder of five people and attempted murder. Ikudenyibo, who was arraigned before Magistrate Akinde, is facing a 10-count charge of conspiracy, murder and attempted murder, preferred against him by the Police. The Police prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emuerhi, told the court that the accused and others at large committed the alleged crime on May 25, 2013 at about 8am at Ajah roundabout. He said Ikudenyibo murdered one Shola Hausa and one Isiaka Promise by shooting them. He added that while armed with a gun, he also murdered one Idowu Olumegbon, by shooting him.
